In 1990 Davit Terzyan continued his musical education in the National Conservatory "Komitas" of Erevan , Armenia. He was enrolled not only as a violinist but also as orchestra and opera conductor. He graduated in 1996 with diplomas of professional violinist, and orchestra and opera conductor.
During his enrollment in the Conservatory he studied with Profesor Yury Davtyan and Ogan Durjan 'Narc (orchestra conducting) and Aram Shamshyan, Ara Bogdanyan and Willi Mokazyan (violin) among others.
He was also concert-master of the Erevan Youth Orchestra, Armenia under the direction of Maestro Hakob Logyan. In 1991 this orchestra was invited to the USA, performing successfully in New York's Lincoln Center.
As founder of the chamber orchestra "Sagmos" of the Apostolic church "Surb Sargis" of Erevan, Armenia he received the blessing of the Archbishop Garegin Nersesyan II, who later became the Catholic Bishop of Armenia.
In 1996 he worked as violinist in the quintet (strings and piano) of the Armenian National Conservatory playing several concerts. In 1995 owing to his discipline, professionalism and talent, Davit Terzyan won the position as assistant director of the Armenian National Radio Symphony Orchestra under the direction of the Resident Conductor Ogan Durjan 'Narc.
As assistant conductor (1995 to 1998) of the Armenian National Radio Symphony Orchestra he performed masterpieces of the great composers of all time: Mozart, Beethoven, Mendelsohn, Brahms, Tchaikovsky, Wagner, Bruckner, Shostakovich, Prokofiev etc. in the principal concert halls of Armenia.
Davit Terzyan found the "Renesans" chamber orchestra as well as the Armenian Choral Society in 1997. Under the conducting of Maestro Terzyan, the Renesans Chamber Orchestra participated in the contest for young composers "Amadeus", receiving the gold medal for the best interpretation of modern music. At the same time he fullfilled his military service as conductor of the Armenian Presidencial Orchestra (1997-1999).
With 1999 -2010 of year Davit Terzyan under the invitation of the main conductor of the Philharmonic orchestra Acapulco, worked as the assistant to the conductor and simultaneously as the violinist, acting with numerous concerts.
Conducted the University Symphony orchestra of Pachuca(Mexico),Symphony Orquesta UNAM (Mexico City) the Symphony orchestra Queretaro(Mexico), Armenian National Radio Symphony Orchestra,National Orchestra of the Republic Abjazia.
In November of 2005 Davit Terzyan participated as finalist in the second annual International Conducting Contest honoring Eduardo Mata (former conductor of Dallas Symphony Orchestra).In the competition, Davit Terzyan conducted the Orquesta Filarmonica de la UNAM in Mexico City.
In 2006 has obtained citizenship of the United States of Mexico.
Since 2010 is the main conductor of the State Chamber Orchestra and military orchestra of the Ministry of Defence of the Republic Abkhazia.
